Is probably seriously considering his options.

Indeed. Whoever is in charge over the Summer the fact of Delph staying or leaving will be an important indicator of Villa's ambition.

We should be fighting tooth and nail to tie him down to a new deal.

Yes and me think, we aint got enough ambition. Delph could play for any reasonable prem outfit.

Delph leaving would be the biggest pisstake by a player since hamster bollocks and I would hope he was treated by us in the same way.

The difference is it depends what we offer Delph contract wise. Judas just couldn't wait to fuck off at the first opportunity while still in contract, Delph *may* leave because of the contract we offer (or don't offer).

I don't expect him to play for a pittance and we do need to offer him decent stuff, but we have also stuck by him through 5 years of mostly injuries and would be pissed off he was looking to cash in on about 12 months of finally paying something back.

Best of a very bad bunch. I am only wanting him to stay because he is better than the rest of the shit we have. Also, I disagree with others, Delph is not getting into a top six team.  It shows how very poor we are that we are "desperate" to keep him. If we had better players, Fabian would go back to being a squad player. IMO.

If he is that bad he wouldn't have scored or set up the goals he has this season.

didnt give ross barkley a kick earlier this season. Ditto Huddlestone and many others. He has developed into a fine player no doubt imo

guilty of trying to do too much at times, put a Gareth Barry type experienced head next to him and he would improve further

would say he was better than the likes of Petrov and Reo coker that spent a lot of time in his position when we finished sixth three years on the spin.

Behind Barry particularly and Milner's six months in centre midfield were a level above what Delph has shown.

This article in yesterday's Mail is another major reason why we need to keep this lad - head totally screwed on: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2612558/Aston-Villa-midfielder-Fabian-Delph-Weve-bad-Id-booing-myself.html

We need to keep him, because he's the only midfielder we have who has real class about him.

Delph's reverted to type for me these last few months. Far too many games where he's gone AWOL after his initial promising burst of form

Probably tired from carrying the midfield, chasing he ball around for 30 games and having no options now Benteke is out. He's a good player in a shit team. Not good enough to carry a team though.
