Strong words those are.

He's not fickle, he just doesn't like him. Maybe Leighton's banner was for Lee as much as Dolly.

Pretty amazed by the bitterness and lack of empathy shown to not only a fellow being but one who did relatively well for Villa (and also someone who always seemed to enjoy playing for us). I say amazed, I suppose I mean saddened. I ignored Lee Hendrie's  permanent tan and stupid sports cars at the time he used to pull out the ground after the match. I always thought he tried his best in a Villa shirt and certainly wouldn't wish him ill and certainly not revel in his misfortune. I always saw him more as a product of the changing face of modern football and there being too much money given to someone too young. He may have been arrogant and crass although I've never seen it myself or spoke to him personally. He's definitely been in some pretty dark places - I wish him all the best in the future and hope he's learnt some valuable lessons. UTV!

Good post Diablo. I met Lee once as he was friends with a good friend of mine, seemed a decent lad. Maybe he was a bit of a cock at times, but imagine how you were in your early twenties and then imagine having a shitload of money. I bet most of us would have been a bit of a cock at times.

I have met Lee a few times on a personal and business level including in the last 6 months.Calling him a wanker doesn't even come close.

Well I knew him from school, and have met him a few times since, and I'd say exactly the opposite.

They did ask Hendrie who's fault was it he ended up suicidal/broke ..etc I actually mouthed out loud "you , you wanker" He wasn't sure who's fault it was though !

That really made me laugh, thanks.
