Flares are okay but I prefer kipper ties, personally.

Seriously, flares would make us look European and 'experienced': go for it, I say.

Have many people been hurt by them at the football?

WM want to talk about flares at matches tomorrow. What's your opinion?

Do they have a particular problem with them at The Keepmoat and/or Firhill ?

I had some really nice brown ones that I bought in Oasis in 1972.
Cool.

Dangerous?
Caught my stack heels in them a couple of times and nearly went arse over tit.
That's about it really.

I think they add something rather exciting to the atmosphere. But then I've never been so close to one where they've been set off...

I am usually in favour of anything which livens things up a bit, but I can't say I like inhaling smoke if I can help it.  In P6 at VP, and at a couple of away games, this activity has got on my tits.

They do look good admittedly, however I was by one at Wigan last game and my eyes were fucked for 10 minutes. So basically, I don't spend all that money for my eyes to sting.

They've got no place in English football. They add nothing and are just one more thing for scrotes to cause trouble with.

In the right hands they could add something, but in the wrong hands they can be deadly. That story about the kid in south america a few months ago is absolutely horrific.

Us and Man. United are the worst offenders for this in the premier league I'd say.

I like them, but there is the obvious danger of someone being hit by them.

I was at a game in Rome when the Lazio fans managed to fire some sort of flare into the roof of the stand. The fire burned for about 5 minutes while the coppers (and firemen) just sort of stared at it while smoking... no panic or stewards running around panicking.

A well thought out flare at a night game in European competition when we are trying to stoke up the atmosphere is good.

Struggling with the point of them outside it mind. They stink and you can't see shit for five minutes if you are close to them.
Quite. There's a time and a place.

A cup semi-final against ManYoo on a Wednesday night? Fine.

12.45pm at home to Norwich? You look like a dick.
