I reckon 3 points at the Arse, 0 points at Chelski and 3 points at home against Liverpool. Yes, I think we'll catch Arse off guard in that first game....2-1 with CB netting both goals! What do you predict?

We'd be relieved with no points and a GD no worse than minus 3.  We'd be satisfied by 1 or 2 points, chuffed by 3-5 & elated by 6-9 points.

Zero. Worse start since 1997 when we were dark horses for the title and promptly lost the first four including Chris Sutton murdering us in an orange Blackburn kit at Villa Park. Ugh.

Oddly, my favourite season supporting Villa. Mainly thanks to the lush away kit and spring '98 when we played champagne football after Brian's sad departure.

'kin 'ell, this is rapidly turning into the new 'Why didn't Barry spare us years of in-joking on H&V by taking that sodding penalty at the Emirates/NuLibrary - I mean what was so bad that he had to be receiving treatment anyway? Y'know - he could have returned to the pitch to take the penalty and then gone back to the sidelines to get his big-boned body bandaged-up with the likely goal he had just scored giving him a real psychological boost and rendering any physical pain all but redundant'.
