Was looking forward to watching this. It's really disappointing.

Wanted to see the new kits being worn and all.  :'(

Extended highlights on the OS later

Judging how the first half sounded, I don't think they will be extended.

Bowery looks out of his depth against 5th divison opposition. We've played as well as you'd expect for the first game back. Albrighton and Bowery seemed to link quite well but it's daft having Bowery out wide and Albrighton in the middle, as happened a couple of times. Guzan. Made a good save. It's windy. Um, that's it.

Steer, Lowton, Luna, Clark, Okore, Westwood, Weimann, Cupboardy, Gabby, Helenius are all warming up so I guess they'll all come on.

Possibly the Benteke news is having a demoralising effect on the players.

I stopped listening, the quality was worse than those old radio reports at away games in Eastern Europe in the early 80's.

I thought it might have made you feel a bit nostalgic.

Just saw a picture on Twitter of some in game action with the players in the new kit - it looks like 1982 all over again!

All we need is a crowd of 80,000 all wearing army uniform and the journey back in time is complete.

One nil, Helenius header. Very well taken goal. Must say their keeper doesn't look up to much. Also, I think the players still have the security tags on their shirts...?!

A couple of minutes earlier, Gabby gor booked. Very stupid. He pushed a defender over as both were chasing a loose ball.
