I'm listening to the Guardian Football Weekly podcast. Jonathan Liew just said it was unlikely that Real Madrid would be able to pull off their usual Champions League win this year, and I instinctively thought, 'that's good for us'.

We were recently managed by Steve Bruce.

I’d put nothing past those jammy bastards. I’m still amazed they’ve got to 16.

The good thing is they stop Citeh, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea winning it, although I doubt we'll catch them now.
