Did they play any classic Quo?

There is no classic Quo

'Cigarettes and Alcohol' was good.

Also heard them playing Seven Nation Army before kick off.

It has become the modern football tosser's song of choice. Fookin sick of it.

The music was also fantastic in our last pub before the train home - The Swan by the station. Great atmosphere with dancing & singing to some great tunes. Was gutted to have to leave for our train!

I was also in that pub enjoying the 80s tunes until catching the last train back to Brum.

The music at Wigan has always been better than the normal chart dirge they play at grounds.

Chico describes Wigan away as "The Fulham of the North".

He may have a point.

Whenever I hear Barbara Ann by the Beach Boys, it bring back memories of being surrounded by a big Forest mob at the City Ground in 1973.
Another ground for good music was always The Valley.

Just before kick off, I'm a Believer by the Monkees was played. Never heard the Villa fans in such tuneful voice. When the music was stopped over the PA system the Villa fans just carried on where it left off. Absolutely brilliant, we even had an ovation frm the Wigan fans.

I was amazed so many knew the words. Didn't expect the younger (under 25's) to know if that well. Apart from at Wembley I can't recall a song over the PA being sung so loudly. Although Mr Sox failed to join in. I just sang along in my head.
