Thats it for another year, I have watched all season on a dodgy stream but if any Villa fan subscribes to Sky next season hang your heads in shame, spunked themselves over Fergie, Beckham, Carragher and even played 20 games in 20 years the Newcastle goalie Harper about retiring and did not once repeat did not once mention Petrov, they are a fucking disgrace

I wonder why Lambert didn't bring KEA on? We've got to see more from him and we need some quality to push the first choice midfield 3. I dunno whether Dawkins appearance was merely some kind of gesture from PL. We really missed Sylla's presence in CM when he came off. I think as well, much like when Zoggy plays and we switch to more of a 4-2-3-1 (that often looks more 4-2-4), we looked poorer when SD was on.

Central defence is the biggest issue, but hopefully we'll address the serious lack of options on our bench too.

It's over and I won't miss it. Optimistic about the summer and look forward to see who we get in. Could be interesting as if I scribbled down a list of our current squad, I wouldn't be sad to see the back of twelve of them. Unlikely to be that much change this summer but it's a measure of how far we need to go

True, but I guess a player's career ending due to leukemia just isn't interesting enough for Sky Sports...

The match thread is in Match Threads and Player Ratings, where all these threads get moved to.

They showed plenty of respect last week and I have heard him mentioned this week.

In effect, you could say Petrov's farewell was last week, at a home game with him on the pitch. Slight difference is that all the other retirements today were players that were on the pitch. I'd hope we wouldn't search for things to be offended by.
