It's amazing that even though we are in a similar spot, compared to last season there are so many great moments in amongst the wreckage to reflect back on.

My top three:

1) Brad's save from Samba's header - instrumental in us winnng that game
2) Backheel from Benteke for Weimann's goal - one of the moves and goals of the season
3) Lowton's screamer versus Stoke - simply the best goal we scored and so very important

I think you've got it here - although I'd add the Sunderland game and the emergence of the real Delph.

Also, the NextGen win.

Second half against Sunderland and just most of the goals we've scored have been an absolute joy.

I will get the season DVD because we have scored some cracking goals this season. Be it in victory or not, there has been some special strikes and in all shapes and sizes

I know it was against a League 1 club, but Benteke's winner against Swindon was a brilliant moment.

It really is hard to look past the Sunderland game though. Everything about that night was magical! The atmosphere was rocking from the moment the teams left the field. When Ron's goal was scored the place went barmy. Every goal was celebrated like a Championship winning goal. Every stand was singing and made it a red hot atmosphere
Lowton played the best game I have ever seen a full-back play at Villa Park, ever. Fabian Delph and Ashley Westwood were exactly the same players they've been since January.
The last time I walked out of Villa Park singing was the 5-1 game, the atmosphere walking out of the ground was still rocking. I think everyone there and everyone associated with Aston Villa FC will remember this night for many, many years

I feel your pain Legion, couldn't make the game because of work. And just to rub salt in the wounds we were picked to go pitch side to watch the lads warm up but had to turn it down. My boys have just about forgiven me for not taking them.

You must of had some serious Dad points to EVER be forgiven for that!

We almost didn't make it to the game due to traffic in Stratford.

Sunderland game will go down as legendary, joining the likes of Inter (esp 1st game), Tranmere and the 3-1 against the rags as "I was there" games.

I'd love to know if it sounded as loud on the TV as it did inside the ground. I'd also love to have watched the game again when I got home. Can't remember the last time I saw the Trinity going for it so much singing wise.

Legen, wait for it, dary.

I watched the game when it was replayed a couple of hours after I got back from the match. I would love to report on how loud the crowd sounded but I was a tad too 'tired and emotional' to be a good judge at that point. The highlight for me was when two Christian Benteke's headed in at the Holte End.

I'd been to 9 or 10 games this season, every single one of them a loss or a draw, so due to a lack of money and the feeling that I was jinxing the team I decided not to attend the Sunderland match.

The day before the game I found 20 quid in an old jacket, took it as a sign, bought a ticket, and ended up having the best Villa Park experience since my first (Villa 5 - Wimbledon 1)
