Lovely to win today and no complaints (with the front three and Westwood in particular), but Jesus - we could really do with a bit of experience back there.

Phil Neville would be a great signing to sit in front of the back four, stick him on the left side of the holding duo and it'd help Bennett out no-end. Bennett and Delph both carded again today. Delph has improved recently but he's a yellow card waiting to happen.

I quite like Baker and Lambert seems to really rate Clark but I'd like some of the wages that Dunne and Hutton free up to go towards a more experienced centre-half.

Not in a million year are we safe. Doesnt matter how many teams are below us, the points gap is still too small. Chelsea want Champions League and Wigan could need a win to stay up.

Hardest run in out of the lot for me

Amazingly, I agree Tuscans, and am more worried about relegation today than I was yesterday. The gap is the same, but a tough fixture for Wigan they have won.

FFS, are you serious, we've won, teams above us have dropped points, Wigan are still 5 points behind us, with 4 games to play to our 2. How on earth are we more likely to be relegated now then we were yesterday? I swear some people want us to be relegated just so they can say I told you so.

We all know we are not safe, yet, but to say we are more likely to be relegated than we were is a ludicrous statement.

I appreciate the irony in ending your post with 'ridiculous statement' when not a sentence earlier you say that people want us to go down.

More worried John!!! Not more likely. That is still the same as it was this AM.

Lulz.

And Gabby is a proven baby-maker so don't worry, there's plenty to go round. You might have to metamorpohose into seahorses to give birth as males though.

I'm happy to give it a go.

Let me get this right Gibbon man... you want to transform into a seahorse, and be inseminated by Gabby, followed by giving birth to his freaky, sea horse, gibbon, gabby children?!

Wow. Just... erm.... wow.

That's the plan, yes.   One or two points to sort out but I am confident we can make it happen.

The maths say otherwise but I reckon that's us safe. There are some teams below us now with absolutely no form or momentum, all of whom will be very nervous indeed.

All of whom have a bit of a banker game to come.

We are in just as big trouble as we were at 3.

So we actually got three points today, Newcastle got 1, Southampton 0, Fulham 0, Norwcih 0. So can you actually explain how we are in just as big trouble as we were at 3pm? Not that I think we are totally safe yet, but no way are we still the favourites to go down. Wish I had put a tenner on Norwich at 25/1 a couple of weeksago

Worried / likely infers the same to me.

Also, it's not the same as it was this morning is it, unless I've been dreaming. It's not just between us and Wigan.

Are we, or are we not still exactly the same distance from the relegation zone as we were at the start of play? They have a game in hand , and we go to their place. In between we both have a fixture we are most likely to lose. As such, the situation is just the same as it was this morning. The other clubs, at this moment are less relevant than the points, although it is nice to have dragged them in, they each have an easier fixture, and don't have to go to the side that are able to overturn them on the last day like we do.

Maybe Bennett should've gone, Holt's thuggishness went predictably unpunished today, and that was a disgrace. There's no point in having rules in the game if one player is allowed to flout them so brazenly with his sharp studs and sharper elbows, for the sole apparent reason of being popular with the web-handed onlookers.

Holt is like Kevin Davies was for years at Bolton. Gets away with lots of fouls when you would hope the ref would at least book him on a 'totting up'/persistent offender basis. And don't even get me started on Shawcross at Stoke. He must have a fantastic collection of compromising pictures of PL refs.

Breaking news - after today Norwich have cancelled their end of season dinner.

Being worried has no bearing on whether something will happen, it is a personal feeling.

It is not more likely - the position we should be concerned about, 18th, is still exactly as it was at 3.

Lots of Norwich fans upset that Hughton  A-played for a point and B-failed to get it. Welcome to Aston Villa season 2011/2012. Whatever happened to that bloke who took Norwich up two divisions and played attacking football?

But the one in the position we are trying to avoid is no further behind, nor closer to us. Those other sides have a game left which on paper I would expect them to win. As such, for me, Wigan are still the side.

I really don't see why it is odd. I expected Albion, at home, where they have done well all season, to get at least a point. As such, Wigan to be further back if anything.

Our situation now is much better than it was at 3pm in my opinion.
