The Sunderland fans deserve praise as well for selling out their allocation considering the distance and the timing of the game. With excitement like that, we would fill the ground for every game. Sunderland fans also deserve credit for joining in with the 19th minute clapping.Good article, Dave. There is a very warm feel about the place at the moment.

So did Cuellar.
Bad headlines - the triumphant return.
Our season changed at Half time against Newcastle, we lost, but clapped them off the pitch and we have kept that level of performance up pretty much since then (bar the first 30mins at OT)In the 11 games since/including Everton we've got 17 points. That 1.5 points a game. If we can continue this sort of form next season, we are looking at around 58 points. Is this realistic? I don't know, but I know it's ten times more enjoyable seeing our youngster lads try rather than a bunch of journey men just plod through, scraping a draw like last season.
A well-written piece and an enjoyable read.
