A quite fabulous night to be a Villa fan.  The attitude of the players was a joy to behold, every one of them giving their all, exemplified by Andi Weimann who having had two shots in succession cleared off the line is seconds later up by the half way line trying to win the ball back.

I can't wait for Norwich now.

It was bloody brilliant.

I could barely celebrate the 5th and 6th, I was so drained, as even at 4-1 I was nervous of us chucking it away.

Absolutely superb stuff from us, we destroyed them and played some wonderful stuff. I keep thinking about the result and I am just dumbstruck by it all. Fantastic.

Sky sports 1 are about to rerun the game so i think i may watch again just to savour the feeling.

Thanks for the heads up. Just found a nice link for that.

Special big up shout out (or whatever it is the kidz do these days) to Carlos Cuellar, who contributed so much to us last night by being so utterly, utterly awful.
This is so true. Thanks Carlos.
Even by Carlos's standards that was some performance!

Today is one of those days when I love the fact that SSN keep showing the same stories over and over again!
Yes so different from last Tuesday when all I wanted to do was hide.

Can you believe Lowton and Westwood are not in the team of the week for Crooks on the BBC!? What!

Both were brilliant, as was Bennett. In fact the team of the week should just be us and Liverpool players!

Just had a text from a mate that I grew up with and haven't seen for years, now a Surrey resident.

"6 lucky goals, I believe. Was it true that Tony Hateley and Charlie Aitken came out of retirement?"

Bloody Baggies fans. Shows how much they know.

Last night, i returned from Berlin with my better half and passed Villa Park just before kick off. We had all our luggage but we kind of looked at one another as if to say 'shall we?'

We didn't. Arse.

However, it didn't spoil my enjoyment of it at all. I have to say, even though we followed it all on WM, the Villa joy was so delerious it almost felt as if we chanced our arm luggage and all. So thanks to the team, but as many thanks to the thirty seven thousand that made it so memorable for those that couldn't make it.

As a postscript: i went out to Tesco after the final whistle to pick up a few essentials for the morning. It wasn't until i got a text from a mate who was actually there that i realised i'd been wandering round the supermarket for ten minutes and nothing was in my basket.

Mocking Di Canio for his going down gesture, I believe. Not his fascist ways.

I've got a headache from last night, worth it though! I actually feel quite fucked, not sure I could cope with Villa winning 6-1 very often!
