Nobody has mentioned Watkins who i thought was superb in the 2 games i watched on tv. Similar to guzan; very quick off his line, narrowed the angles well and was excellent on crosses.

Well done the boys; hopefully 3 or more will make it at Villa !

Can someone please clarify as hearsay is doing my head in with regard to sons of ex Villa :

Is Graham the son of Mark (Burke) ?

Is Samir the son of Martin (Carruthers) ?

Is Lewis the son of Mark (Kinsella) ?

Seeing as I started the Sporting one, I'm starting this before anyone else does in the hope that it's lucky.

It can be a Pre-Match, Match and Post-Match thread rolled into one to avoid causing too much clutter.

Plus, it can take our minds off the first-team's performance today.

Kick off is 5.00pm UK time tomorrow, coverage commences 4.30pm on Eurosport.

Help yourself for the rest of the season.

Not in favour of all in one match thread. Seen that on other forums and its more clutter than clarity. I say stick to our format.

Don't know about other two but Mark is Lewis's dad.

I think I started another one for the first-team once and we lost so my "luck" only works for Yoof games!

You've already started the Stoke thread anyhow and I have no wish to undermine your role, sorry.

I thought one thread was better as a youth game will attract a lot fewer posts, even for a final.

For the first-team games where you get hundreds and hundreds of posts, it makes more sense to have separate threads. On this occasion, I thought one thread was better.

Again, apologies if I annoyed anyone with this.

Undermine me!

This is getting a bit too S&M for my liking.

I know we won and everyone feels like celebrating, but I'm just not that kind of boy.

I did the same thing with the pre-season games. One all singing and dancing thread is all that's needed for these games.

Probably known already but Sid's kid (Henry) is in the academy
