All my WH mates say that Playing with Nolan is like paying with 10 men at the moment,
They were slagging him on the phone ins a couple of weeks ago for being a lazy shit

Take the criticism we give to Bannan and x it by 10 that's what he gets from the hammers fans,
There is no way he will control anything in midfield, he's just not good enough even against our Lot
having said that he'll probably pop a couple in now I've said all that

If we go ahead, we should just keep attacking. Usually of course you shut up shop a bit, but as we're far more likely to concede when defending than when we have the ball I say go for it.

By the way, pre-match thread, come on! This has grown to four pages but it just ain't the same y'know?

I've pm'd Leeg to ask him to convert this into the Pre-Match thread. However, he might be at the U21 game in Walsall

He is indeed, and their top scorer with a massive 6 goals! I admire Nolan for what he is though - someone who can be nowhere in a game when you're being dominated but a real handful in the opposition penalty area. He seems to have a knack of being in the right place when the ball is bobbling about and will always thrive in an Allardyce side. I imagine they'll improve now Carroll is back as Nolan/Carroll just seems to work. West ham don't score many goals though, i'd be more worried about breaking them down if anything, and if we went a goal down I think it may be a tough one to get back into.

Having said all that I'll go for an optimistic 2-0. Benteke first half and as we're due a defender grabbing a goal I'll go Vlaar towards the end of the 2nd half and going absolutely mental in front of the holte.

May I be the first to predict a resounding 3-0 home victory, with goals from Benteke, Gabby and a cheeky Collins OG into the bargain!

2-2 and us to throw away yet another lead, Carrol and Nolan probably scoring for them. Weimann and Benteke for us.

Not enough I fear.
