We might not get another point this season!

Just laugh, it's what we started doing in '86 and it's the only way to stay sane

At least you've got another team you can go and watch.

They aren't much better. We signed Darren Byfield for fuck's sake!

2 big hard midfielders and we are different team, less pressure on defence, more ball for the attack.

Maybe Di Matteo could do a job for us? His Chelsea side was a miserable, tight-arsed outfit that gave sod all away at the back. I'd kill for a team that could manage that right now.

Any other manager at all could do better. Very basic organisation and coaching. No Villa players seem to have a clue what they are supposed to do and that has been the same all season.

How people can argue that Lambert is the best manager we could possibly hope for at this moment is staggering.

The problem is that we have contrived a system here where we not only have no width, we actually have no centre either. We have at least one player hanging around like a spare prick at each end by picking 3 centre backs and two strikers. Given how clear it was what Newcastle were going to do with their midfield, to basically play without any players in the middle third is, I'm afraid, the worst tactical decision possible.

Brian Little just commented on our play that 'it's not really how the modern game is played'.

I would give him the job based on that comment alone, I think.

I couldn't renew my ST this year due to work committments and a 270 mile round trip and felt really bad.... I don't now. I have bought every home and away shirt since 1974 and used much disposable income into the club. I just can't anymore , it's so painful. If I performed ths poorly at work I would get sacked.
We need someone to manage that has previously had claret and blue blood tt understands our culture, club and fan base

I suppose I'm in no position to talk, typing this from my desk in Lancashire, but fans of every other club I can think of would be hurling all kinds of abuse now. Throwing season tickets at Lambert. Throwing seats at Lambert.  Burning the Stars and Stripes in the centre circle. But the Villa?  We're going down with out any fight on or off the pitch.

Quite right.  The grovelling apologies for his failings make me want to chunder.

I'm 31, I can't comprehend Aston Villa not being in the top division.

Tonight will be the night this team loses the fans, just like the Bolton match under TSM.

I dont fucking believe it, the hotel bar I am in has just put on the theme from that 80's DJ who used to read out sad stories.
Music to watch Villa die to...
