Rumours on Twitter that he might be off to Sunderland!

Hoping it's true, but will be just our luck that he turns into the Wigan N'Zogbia.

Good news this. Surely the least productive 4.5 years in football history, must go in the Guinness book of records 'epic failures' section.

Have Sunderland got someone from villa out of bed to see to this?

SSN just announced these rumours, which got my attention, only for them to cut to a reporter at the Stadium of Light who promptly scotched any notion of such a deal happening today.

You fuckers SSN, the thought of getting some return on Richards and N'Zog from Blunderland  was the one bit of good news we might have had - it's like they're emotionally toying with us.

Considering how Martinez used him at Wigan, I'm assuming he'll pitch up at Everton.

If Martinez hasn't been fired by then.

I definitely dislike him more than Delph. I think Delph is an utter snake for what he did, but at least he contributed for us. N'Zogbia seems to revel in being a lazy shit.

Aston Villa flop Charles N'Zogbia to cost struggling club another £1.3m before contract ends

Midfielder rejected a loan move to AEK Athens last month and will see out lucrative contract until the summer

By John Percy

Aston Villa will have to pay Charles N’Zogbia an extra £1.3million after failing to offload him in January.

N’Zogbia rejected a loan move to AEK Athens last month and will stay at Villa until his five-year contract finally expires this summer.

The France international has no future under Remi Garde and is training with Villa’s under-21s, but will still cost the Premier League strugglers over £1million before he leaves as a free agent.

He is one of the club’s highest earners on £63,000 a week yet his Villa career has been a colossal disappointment since a £9.5million move from Wigan Athletic.

Villa did lower their wage bill in January by moving out a number of fringe players, including Joe Cole and Philippe Senderos, and are determined to make further cuts in the summer.

Sir Mervyn King, the former Bank of England governor, joined the board of directors on Thursday in what seems a clear plan to map out financial plans for the future.

King has been approached by Randy Lerner before but has agreed to help new chairman Steve Hollis, with Villa seemingly on course for the Championship.

He said: “I watched my first match at Villa Park more than 55 years ago, and have experienced the highs and the lows since then. I shall do my best to help the rebuilding of Aston Villa as together we return it to its position as one of the top clubs in the world.”

An aquaintence who moved in dubious circles reckoned a hit man would cost less than a re heeling of his ill considered shoes.

Even at Athens he'd still be getting his full wages, mostly subsidised  by us. You'd wonder is there not an older brother or dad to give him a kick up the arse and tell him to play as much professional football while he can. He's training every day, has tweeted that he wants to play, so just bugger off and do it.
