He was good yesterday, but is selfishness is a problem, it wouldn't be so bad he would just shoot, but he doesn't. It was him losing the ball while trying to walk the ball in that led to their first goal.

But yesterday was a big improvement overall.

He is the sort of player with experience we need at the moment, we looked much better when he was on the pitch, i was surprised he was subbed. We looked a lot lighter in midfield when he came off.

If he can play like he did yesterday he will be a top player.

It's clear how much we need him to perform. He has things in his locker that nobody else we have possesses, and if he brings it to games we look a different side.

If he can perform like that, it'll help save us he was excellent and worked very hard.

Once again.

Our forward line is very good and full of different options.

If only we could sort out midfield and defence.

Also don't ever bring Holman on for him again.

I'm really puzzled as to what Bomb Scare's function is as he enters the pitch.

He's all over the place like a mad Woman's shit.

John winning 3 out of last 4 did that for us but for a long while that season  I remember people sitting on toilet pans bricking themselves.

It was more than that.  The2nd half of the season form, after Bent signed, was top 6 standard.

Got to Agree that young is average and not good enough for Man utd or England
Well Manu fans don't like him and think he is a bit part player for them and distinctly average. Playing for England theses days means nothing in terms if international class. Just look at the type of players winning caps over the set few seasons.

Only bring Holman on if Dame Edna is not on the bench!

Best game (or half a game) for us by miles yesterday imo.

Much more effective than playing out wide anyway as he can release the ball to the other two forwards rather than running into 2-3 defenders out wide.

There could yet be a player in there if he continues in this role, about time tbh.

We were staring at relegation in Mr Young's last season. Lets not have short memories..

Yep, and I'd just about settle for that season's finishing position of 9th this year.

Creating space for Benteke and Gabby/ Weimann has been difficult this and last season for Bent and Gabby. If NZogbia can start to play as he did yesterday we look to have goals in us. If we miraculously sign a defender and a proper defensive midfielder, we could string a few results together.

I agree with that.

We certainly have goal scorers in the side, our problem is we've been too busy picking the ball out of our own net to supply them.  Stiffen the spine and start getting the basics right and we have enough up front to win us games!
