I shall be on my lonesome I suspect watching this in a pub in Chichester tonight. I only hope the car journey into town is more worthwhile than the first leg when I trekked the length of Oxford Street in London to find a pub with it on and had to watch it with no commentary and loud music on instead. Which may have been a blessing come to think of it!

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that if Aston Villa F.C last for a thousand years, men will still say "THIS WAS THIER FINEST HOUR"

Hopefully we as fans will keep our patience. It won't be the end of the world to go in a HT 0-0.

Well, if anyone needs any motivation, Talk Shite's presenters are all hoping for a Villa defeat, particularly the Villa-hating Richard Keys, who said if it's Swansea-Bradford it will be 'the people's final' and Darren 'fat boy' Gough, who says Villa will lose and the 'nation is behind Bradford'.
Come on the Villa boys...................

Durham wants us to win, but I think more because he is a Lambert fan.

I always find Durham quite complementary about us

One of his shows when rumours were Scott Parker was coming to us after he'd been named player of the year, he absolutely couldn't believe it and said some horrible things abut us. We ll know he says things just to get people calling in though.

Bit late in the day but my mate has dropped out of tonight with the flu, so I have a spare ticket. Anyone know who might want one?

Just as i'm going out the door I see this.

"The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice in Birmingham. The snow is expect to arrive tonight around 11PM."

Phil Dowd is a bigger threat than anything in a Bradford shirt. Apart from their corner taker, their player who is first to attack the ball from corners, the players who look for 2nd balls at corners and the unmarked random player who strolls up to score following the pinball resulting from a corner.

It's a fantastic omen, anyone remember trying to get home after Arsenal at home in '96? You were more likely to flag down a space rocket than a taxi on the Lichfield Road that night. It was worth it though, the lock in at the Vine was rocking.

Who cares if we win? Just getting to the pub.

As Nelson once said, "Every man must do his duty".

They will, Sir, they will...

Fucking come on you Villa boys.

I rarely get excited before a game. I rarely get a bouncing feeling of something special unfolding before my eyes at Villa Park.

I haven't had that feeling since the morning of the destruction derby.

Its been coursing through my veins like heroin all day long.

Its going to be one of THOSE nights. Enjoy it.
