Unless there are at least 2 very decent signings we are down who ever the manager is.

For people saying to forget the penalty, they hadn't created a chance until that, I'd guarantee it'd still be 0-0 if he hadn't given that.  Yes we've not played great but neither have they and we'd done enough to deserve to be level for me.
They must have been in our area six times for every one time we've been in theirs.

Do you reckon he's told them to 'go again' yet?

Pen was never a pen but fuck me how did we conced from our own corner. It's same every game we can't defend the fullbacks are left with no support EVERY game is money tight yes ,could we do with better players yes but FFS what do they do in training.

After a bright start once again we are back to hoping for Benteke flick on's

We are going down on this viewing

what annoyed me from that corner was a Villa player ( not sure who ) just staring at the ball and not going to meet it and challenge and Soton went on the break . No fight and no passion and just inept .

Agreed, I'd prefer more, but I think a decent LB and a center mid could do it. With Vlaar back CB isn't so urgent.

Hell, we might be able to forget a LB if a less stubborn manager can get Warnock playing again.

We need Gabby to come on and have the half of his life, simple as that. Get the ball in the channels, flood the box, and dare I say, BINGO ?

for me his job depends on this half time team talk
I think he will walk tonight.

I don't think he should go, but, looking at recent results, and the fact there has not been a single sign of things getting better for weeks now, it is really hard to argue that he should not at least offer his resignation.

If offered it should be accepted, he won't quit as he will not get a payout , he will wait to be sacked and walk away a rich man .

Reading.

I'd have said QPR, but with Redknapp I expect them to finish above us, now.

At least we won't finish bottom.

At this point with Sunderland winning we are being cut adrift of anyone but the bottom of the table.

Shocking

It just seems so utterly relentless.

Week after week after week of horrendous performances and results, it honestly looks like it is never going to stop, and all the while, what brittle confidence is left in the better younger players is getting utterly destroyed.

It's so depressing. I haven't watched any televised football or football discussion programs on telly for about two months now, because it is all so disgracefully embarassing.

If we're not going to get bodies in, then sorry, but he's going to have to go cap in hand to Warnock and get him in, because right now, that defence looks like it desperately needs someone with a scintilla of an idea how to organise things, because there are absolutely no hints that it is getting better.

Lambert needs to go if we lose this I'm afraid - we are going down as things stand
Who in their right mind would replace him?
Exactly. There are no suitable candidates out there. And, even if there were, they'd still be saddled with the squad we've got.

Well he says he doesn't want to ruin our finances by spending too much. I'm not sure relegation will be great for our finances, particularly as apparently most of our players have no relegation clauses.  Dark times for Villa.

No, nor me.

I certainly couldn't name a side showing less determination and desire than us. It's horrible to watch.
