Watching this, it is on the whole, pretty pathetic again.

The mad thing is, though, that although this side is fucking awful, it wouldn't really require huge investment to improve the side considerably.

Centre back, left back, midfielder - they don't need to cost 10m each, in fact, you could probably get all three for a total of 10m, but they absolutely must be experienced heads, more kids is going to achieve nothing.

If Lerner can't sanction that kind of expenditure or strain on the wage bill, then he doesn't deserve to own a top flight club, frankly, and pretty soon, he won't.
This is so frustrating, there is so much potential with the squad and like you say it would not take too much tinkering to be a good side who would probably not tear the league apart but would be comfortable in the top half. It's mental why nothing is being done.

agreed.

I did trust in Lambo. He was my first choice - but it hasn't worked. Whether it's all his fault or not, the club's short term future of staying up is the main priority. If he can't do it, find someone that will.

Any suggestions?

Can't think of many who would do a worse job..

I am asking for someone who will do a better job.
Alan Curbishley

That was who I was going to say. Even Curbs would get us playing better than this.

Is it 1999?
I wish it was

I know for most manager's it's a job but Lambert is lifeless and it transfers to the team. The is no energy at all in the side. None. No player has it, the manager doesn't have it, the board doesn't have any and it ends up that the life is sucked out of the fans too. I used to get really upset about this, but honestly I can't be arsed. And I really, really hate myself for it.

Reading players have a pair of balls between them, that's more than our team has.
