I've been to the New Den a few times with Watford. Watford were only given the top tier and the away fans remain quite far away from Millwall fans. Not an ounce of trouble and plenty of police presence.
There are plenty of places to drink centrally in London before training it from London Bridge to the station. Once at South Bermondsey, there is a rat run from the station that takes you (the long way) straight to the away end in about 5 mins.
You dont say they actually got Pubs in that London, well I never
We played them in the league under Sir Graham. What was it like then?
Pretty intimidating. We drove to the ground and were allowed to park right outside the away end. This was the old Den which was a horrible place. Didn't see any trouble, may have been a different story if Millwall hadn't won the game .
I should have some intel nearer the time if they are planning anything as work brings me into contact with one of the leaders of the Old school Bushwhacker firm. They still turn out for West Ham, Leeds etc but will have to see what they'll do about 4000 Villa on "their manor"
If its a night match (including Sat 1730) I imagine we will only take the Upper Tier, in the first instance.
Hopefully it will stay as Saturday 3pm. Dave do you think it will be moved for tv ?
Surely they won't want to show us ?
I haven't really studied the rest of the draw yet.
Quite a few more appealing games for TV I think -
Norwich v Luton
Oldham v Liverpool
Leeds/SHA v Spurs
Brighton v Arsenal
Stoke v CiŁy
Man Ure v Fulham / Blackpool
Brentford v Chelsea
I can't see any tv executive desperate to screen Millwall/Villa. Even if Millwall beat us, it will be a bit `so what?' to most armchair footie fans.
I read recently that it's 12 years since a Manchester United FA Cup game that wasn't televised.

Don't think it's that many, though I heard it was around 2005 and they've had 39 consecutive tv games in the FA Cup
I suspect one of our/Man Ure's matches will be moved to the Sunday in case West Ham get through. Police won't want Millwall and West Ham at home on the same day.

That's what they say about the FA Cup: it's just so unpredictable.
Will it be 2 televised games on Saturday, 2 on Sunday and 1 on the Monday night again ?
If its just 5 TV games I doubt Millwall v Villa will be one so should be Saturday 3pm unless the Met police decide otherwise ??
