Close fight, split decision. No more than a round or two in it either way. Home fighter gets a 117-111.
Saw Hearn shaking his head before the decision was given.Fuck knows why.

Haye has pulled out of Fury fight, again. Had shoulder surgery and may retire!

Biggest time-waster in sport.

I'd say it's a bit harsh to call him a time waster when he's had shoulder reconstruction surgery. It's not like he dodged the big fights in the past.

He would have known about this ages ago.

The Klitschko fight sure felt like a waste of time.

And this will be the third time he has pulled out of a fight in 2013. Joker.

Yes but shoulder reconstruction surgery is hardly a weak excuse.

It sounds like the Surgical team didn't realise the extent of the damage to the Shoulder until they opened him up. So to say 'he would have known about this ages ago' doesn't quite ring true.

Boxing underway up in Manchester - first one not lasting long....Commonwealth Super Middleweight between Fielding and Blackledge, Fielding retaining his title with a first round knock out.

Apparently he is a cousin of Steve Gerrard.....shame he couldnt make it a family double!!!! Not

Jamie McDonnell stops Bernard Inom in the 7th of 8 rounds.

McDonnell is the Doncaster lad who won the World IBF championship then Boxing politics stripped him of title???

I'm not much of a boxing person but as the week has gone on I've moved from thinking I don't really care about the froch-groves fight because whatever happens an English boxer will be right in the mix at the top to now wanting Froch to plaster him to the ropes in the first 30seconds.  I know the trash talk is all part of it but Groves comes across as a right arrogant little shit who needs a good beating to learn a bit of respect.

I don't think that there is any doubting a Froch victory but i actually quite like young Groves when he beat James DeGale it was a great fight. I'm surprised by his decision to come across as this little arrogant piece of shit - it isn't him - he must be trying to wind Froch up so much that he thinks he will make mistakes - if he is then i say fair enough but can't see 'The Cobra'' falling for that.
