I'd consider giving Given and Bowery a game for this one, give Guzan and Benteke a rest.

I'm coming up to this one for some reason

Hopefully we can relax a bit in the cup. I think we should rest a few. Lambert suggested we might have one or two potentially back from injury for this one, and I think we should give them a game if so. Perhaps that's Vlaar and gabby? Bit difficult to pick a side without knowing who's fit. If its no change, I'd go something like:

Given - lichaj herd Clark Bennett - carruthers delph - albrighton  Ireland Johnson - Bowery

But hopefully we'll see some combination of Vlaar, baker, gabby and nzogbia in the 16

I'm not too fussed about what happens here, as long as we rest our key performers who we're going to need badly in the coming Premier League 6 pointers and the two Bradford ties.

I'd try and rest the following at all costs:

- Guzan
- Lowton
- Clark
- Bannan
- Benteke
- Weimann

Could be a good game for the likes of Ireland, Albrighton, Delph, KEA etc to find a good performance and raise their own confidence.

3-1 Villa, but i would not be surprised to see an end to end thriller. Trying to find it on tv somewhere, so far to no avail.Any ideas :'(. Some are on Sky and there is a load on Al Jaz, but no Villa. Not happy.

We need to rest one or two, it's a Mick Mac team so they'll be hard to break down. 1-0 to us.

4-1 to us, on the basis that that was the score the last time my friend from Stafford brought his lad to the match.

Little chance of finding it televised this week anywhere.

We could do without this game. The romance of the cup is overpowered by the need to rest players for the forthcoming semifinal and league games and the fact that we can't afford any more injuries.Rest all the outfield players who should feature v Bradford and Soton.

So we will have Given in goal, then ? In defence ? Midfield ? Upfront ? I don't think we have the option for that sort of luxury do we ?

Given will definitely be in goal if he plays, we aren't that desperate that we have to play him in midfield just yet.
