Wow, is that the youngest team ever? Guzan aside is everyone under 24?

It's arguably one of the worst.  Albrighton AND Delph?  Jesus christ.

You haven't been following Villa for long if you think that's the worst teams we've fielded.

Given the options available, I thinks it's as good as could expect.
4-4-1-1

I've been following Villa for over 30 years.  Go on then, name a worse team in that time.

Absolutely agree, I guess there might be a one off instance or two just based on the law of averages but it is difficult to think of a worse team than the one put out today

                   Guzan

          Lowton Herd Clark

Bennett                         Stevens

           Westwood Delph

Albrighton                  Weimann

                 Benteke

Nope, any way I try it on, that team looks pretty damn poor.

Let's hope Swansea have an off-day and we can keep it to below 3! Albrighton is awful.

I think that's unfortunately how we will line up, and the result will be similar to the last three games.

I can't immediately think of one I have to say, though I imagine we put out some pretty crap teams under gt mark 2 and dol. I'd agree that herd, albrighton, delph, Bennett and Stevens may all not be premier league quality at the moment

And Michu is a definite starter just to add to the good news oozing from every Villa related pore these days...

On current form it looks terrible, but that's because on current form we're a bit of a rabble.

There's potntial there, and not many alternatives, so let's hope they confound us. It'll take massive performances by the likes of Clark, Westwood and Benteke.

The dramatic in me wants to say that this is Lambert's statement to Lerner to force a surge of funds for the coming month.

I was hoping Jesus Christ was the missing sub, because we could do with him using divine intervention to guide some of Albrighton's crosses to Benteke.

I sincerely hope he goes flat 4 at the back and uses Bennett as a left MF; it'd be good to see us with a genuine left-footer on the left wing.

Buckle up everyone. Could be a long afternoon. That or we'll miraculously snap out of our funk and win this leaving us all massively bewildered.
