Lerner should have sold up in August 2010. He hasn't got a clue.

It isn't a new manager we need, it is a realisation that kids and lower league players alone are nothing like enough.

So tell that to Lambert, he's the man that buys the players.

He also has to work with the wage bill, hence all his signings being either lower league or selling European league, which means low (comparatively) wages.

What about the bid we had accepted for Dempsey? Presumably having gone that far we would have agreed  (big, no doubt) wages. Lower league purchases and the wages that go with it could be as much Lambert's idea as Lerner's.

Lerner should have sold up in August 2010. He hasn't got a clue.

He started with good intentions, trusted his manager 100 percent, threw loads of money around, realised too late that we couldn't afford it, his manager dumped on him, he made a poor appointment, had to throw more money at it, made a truly gobsmacking appointment, then got fixated by a dream that we could turn into Ajax and get by by signing cheap players and using academy graduates.

He has had several things go against him, but ultimately, it is his fault, the buck stops with him.
