It will be a long way back to where we should be and I'm not even sure the owners would be interested enough to keep us in this league, let alone start progressing properly again. Gambling that our youngsters were the new Man United c. 1993-1996 was a risk that has not paid off. We need to spend about £30m in January to ease the pressure on their young shoulders.
