Too many players who are not good enough.

Too much expected of too many young players.

A squad that really belongs in the Championship.

Major investment required in January, or we're in very deep trouble.

Our first 11 is good enough to be lower mid table while the kids learn, but losing so many at once has really killed us.

I disagree. We've next to no quality, and too many kids.

a side that would include Vlaar, Gabby, Petrov, Dunne, Bent used properly mixed in with the right kids would not be in this much trouble.

Their heads have gone after two totally demoralizing defeats. As I said after the Spurs game, I just don't know how we turn this around other than spending very big in January.

I think the depth is the issue. We would not be winning at places like Liverpool if the first 11 was no use. The problem is they can't cope with too many out

Petrov isn't available, though, and hasn't been for a long time, and probably won't play again.

Gabby has delivered scraps for years now, and as for Dunne ....

a fully fit 1st 11 is easily good enough to finish 1/2 way or higher, but...........................
