I haven't read too much of this thread because it is too depressing but here is my fourteen pence worth:

We matched them first half with two very good banks of four stopping them playing their little passes around the box.  I thought Ireland, Bannan and Vlaar were all excellent in that period and we deserved to be ahead.  They scored a pretty jammy goal just before half time and then inexplicably, Lambert changed the formation at half time, stuck Gabby up front and gave Maicon the freedom of Manchester.  It invited pressure which inadvertently led to the 2nd goal.  Having said that, it was the worst penalty decision I can remember against us - absolutely shocking.  We have a young team and we visibly lost our heads after the penalty, particularly Weimann, Bannan and Stevens.  We desperately needed a Petrov to calm everyone down during that period but in the space of ten minutes we went from being in the game to a damn good pasting.

This is not the season to be relegated. The new Sky/BT deal from 2013-14 for the next 3 years is worth over £3 billion - which dwarfs the current £1.78 Billion for the last 3 years. That's an increase of a staggering 70%. If we go down this season it will be very difficult to compete if we return after one season - the other Prem clubs will have had one season with an increased 70% budget which means they will snap up all the best players on even bigger wages. Our chairman just doesn't seem that bothered anymore - failing to attend many matches and saying nothing to rally the troops. No wonder the Browns were glad to see the back of him.

I'm not sure what the club pays the players but it's obviously enough for us to be able to sign Dutch and Belgian internationals. The wage bill needed to be cut at the end of the day. We moaned that the likes of Beye were earning a fortune. Do we really want to go back down that road?

How much do you think QPR players are getting paid ?

No idea about QPR, and I couldn't care less. The reason we're in the relegation zone though is because we've sold our best players and replaced them with cheap foreigners and lower league rubbish. That's what you get with extreme cost cutting.
