Said it before, I don't care if we have player join looking for a big move to someone else, to earn it they'll have to play well for us, which is as much to our benefit as theirs.  If he proves good enough to sign for Real or Barca then great, it means we'll have had a very good player for a couple of years.

Bigger clubs are available, greater ones are not.

Why dont we cancel his contract and then tell him to do one(as they say in Liverpool) We might get the respect we deserve from the other clubs . Or at least get him to apologise to the club and supporters in the club programme......and not bloody twitter!

I'm sure many players think the same and want to play as high as possible but there's a difference between thinking of it as a stepping stone and actually saying it .

You're absolutely right, and I totally agree with what you say. However there's still the childish, spiteful side of me thinking "Why wait, Khalid? Fuck off now if you feel like that."

Well said. I'd also say 'richer'.

I guess I don't care enough, personally I'd rather someone come along and say "if things go my way you're a stepping stone" than do a downing and commit to the club then fuck off a few weeks later.

Football in general could do with more people being honest instead of the formulated media trained none responses most of them give.  Football has enough Lineker/shearer/owen non-entities for my liking.

Perhaps we could ask Olaf to have a quiet word in his immature ear. He would put him straight.

All I've found after a bit of digging around in the depths of the internet is 'midfielder', but from the way people are talking about him I wouldn't be surprised if he was an attacking one.

As Pete said earlier, I'd hope it was lost in translation. I assume English is not his first language. It wasn't the brightest thing to say and he's only a youngster but surely he could have been better advised. Anyway, if he turns out to be that good, then maybe he can propel us further forwards and can then go for silly money.

Didn't the club say we were going for the 'Ajax model' which is bringing in young players and selling them on for a massive profit anyway? Maybe this is exactly what we want?

It's the things kids say, Didn't Bannan put on one of the media sites that Birmingham was a shithole? As for leaving to a bigger club, he's done it to his first club, he'll probably do it to us, it's where we are in the food chain at the moment.
