Guzan, Lowton, Clark, Vlaar, Westwood, Bannan, Benteke..
All fantastic, with the rest not far behind.

1 shot on target for Sunderland. Another set of fans have their media-driven illusions about St Martin cruelly dispelled. HA-fucking HA.

Yep they really were. Impressed with Bannan too, his work rate and tracking back especially.

My stream kept freezing in injury time. The last four minutes took 10 mins of nerves, panic and excitement! GET IN YOU BEAUTIES!

Fantastic. We needed that sooo much!
Pretty good performance I thought. Clark, Westwood, Bannan, Benteke all excellent I thought. Ireland had a class second half after a disappointing first
Lowton is a real threat going fwds. Not sure about him defensively / positionally though.
Guzan 6
Lowton 7
Vlaar 7
Clark 8
Lichaj 5 (Stevens 5)
Westwood 8
Bannan 7
Weimann 6
Ireland 7
Gabby 7
Benteke 8

we won that by a mile despite what the scoreline reads. Lucky for us we're playing Sunderland and they are awful. We have to be more clinical. Still absolutely delighted to get the win. Benteke was terrific. Really splendid.

Brilliant. Thought all the team played well - solid in defence against the predictable aerial onslaught. Benteke was superb up front today

Westwood and Bannan were excellent in the middle, and can only get better. Ireland was really not good first half but was a threat in the second on the break and worked harder. Vlaarke were superb, Guzan imperious, Lowton very assured, Lichaj a bit of a bombscare (Stevens looked competent when he was on) and Agbonlahor and Weimann never stopped working, the former deserving his goal.
As for Benteke - I love him. We've really got some player on our hands there.
