I did read all his comments thanks, Lambert said "he didn't play to my standard" "why did he fall short? I don't know" that is public criticism to me and not very professional. It doesn't matter if it's mixed in with other praise. Why not just talk to the lad in private if he wasn't pleased.

Ive changed my mind. I agree with you. It does seem unnecessary to say it in public, particularly when he doesnt with others.

Indeed. There's been other players who i'm sure haven't performed to "his standard" in games this season, but I can't remember him singling anyone out like that. Just strikes me as very unprofessional.

Again, I've read it all, it doesn't confuse me in the slightest. It was unprofessional from Lambert. Do you think Lambert would have liked it if a player had said on Saturday something like "The gaffer is great, a real top class manager, but today he wasn't up to my standard, why did he fall short? I don't know"

Predictably hard work. Thankfully it don't go to extra time because we really don't need that with an important game at the weekend. Bentekes started very well so far. He's getting in the positions. I'm not sure why Lambert keeps commenting publically on the lad. He did so I think against Spurs saying he needs to be putting away chances like that at this level. Then again, Benteke has 3 in his last 2, so maybe PL knows more than we do.

Job done...another few for Benteke can only be good for him. Seems like Lambert is sticking by him over Bent. Think Bent wil be off come January.

As for Di Canio...well at least you know he's hurting when he does things like that...good, twat.

Listened on the wireless, 2nd half sounded dreadful, soon as it went 1 2 I knew they'd score, need to do better, so glad Benteke banging goals in I had faith in him all along

We don't make things easy for ourself but I'm just glad we through to the quarter finals I'm glad Benteke scored twice it will do his confidence the world of good let's hope we can pull Bradford out the hat for the next round.
