Paulo says beating Villa will be like sex with Madonna

Swindon Town boss Paolo Di Canio has predicted beating Aston Villa in tonight’s fourth round Capital One Cup clash would be just like having sex with Madonna.

The former West Ham striker, whose goal knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup in 2001, is looking forward to being the underdog once again, when his League One side welcome Villa to the County Ground.

And the eccentric Italian has offered up an interesting comparison to explain what another high-profile scalp would mean to him.

'When I scored against United it was very exciting to look around and see 9,000 people celebrating away from home,’ Di Canio said.

'Sending Manchester United out was amazing. It was like having sex with Madonna and beating Villa as a manager would be just as good.’


We can take as a given then that Di Canio will play a weakened side - I mean - would you want to spend a night with my gran?  Can you change a nappy?
