I think whoever we sign in January needs to be experienced in the premiership because we cannot afford a settling in period , we need someone to come straight in and deliver.

Picked the above out from another thread and it got me thinking.

Who from the PL are realistic targets assuming we have some funds available (say, around £20m).  With your selections please state what you think we would have to pay for them and what salary we would have to pay them.

You are limited to 3 players and they must be in the areas of the team that are in the most need of improving, easy (or is it!)

I really haven't a clue, but i'd say we need some experience in the 28 to 30 age bracket.
Who would come of quality is questionable.

Someone needs to give Robbie Keanes agent again. Even if it's for the short term

Expect these to get shot down but I'll throw some names in -

Tom huddlestone, Stuart  downing, and phil neville are the kind of players we would probably be able to attract without breaking the bank . Neville would be a short term fix but add valuable experience in midfield  , downing despite the way he left has flopped at anfield but was decent here providing width and creativity and huddlestone has a physical presence and decent shot on him .

Obviously id prefer better quality but I think those 3 are probably gettable.

We need a serious ball winner in midfield.
We've got, KEA, Bannan, Ireland who can play and pass
But, we haven't got anyone who'll roll their sleeves up and do the sh*tty jobs. I'm not saying NRC or Essien, but that type of player.
