Personally I'd go and get Scott Dann from Blackburn to help shore the defence up. We simply cannot rely on BAker given his fitness record.

We need a centre half in pronto. Herd and Lowton aren't good enough to play there. Baker, Dunne and Vlaar are injury prone. Someone on loan with a view to a permanent move ideally. Is Micah Richards back from injury yet?

You raise a query about our fitness of our players and then mention Richards who very injury prone!

true enough  ;D

dann probably isnt the worst shout in the world. not the player or man he once was but is experienced at this level

Was it Stephens who scored that screamer against Blackburn?

We don't need a centre back if Dunne and Vlaar can stay fit.

That's a big if, so far at least 2 of our centre half's have been injured at some point. Baker & Herd seem to be injury prone too, we need another defender, preferably one who can also cover at left back. Our defensive cover is shite, when we loose players those who come in are not good enough. If we can't sell Warnock & Hutton they should be brought back into the squad.

Also the fact that all we have to cover our midfield two are Ireland, Bannan, Holman & KEA none of whom have shown that they are anywhere near good enough either.

The issue is we have a decent 1st team, but beyond that there is sweet fa in quality apart from up front.

We have not got a decent 1st team. It's crap.

Yes we have, they were tearing that shower to pieces yesterday.

It's once we lose one or two key players, the ones stepping in aren't up to it, and that's been the case all season.

We're playing three centre halves, but currently only have two fit (Vlaar & Clark). Players like Lowton & Herd are emergency cover and should remain in their better positions.

See the game changing injury when Delph goes off, the absence of any physical quality was noticeable.

I think a move for honduran Hendry Thomas who played wigan and now at Colorado rapids
i think he would be affordable and alternative to other solid ex  wigan players Mo diame and Wilson Palacios.
Other than that the few options of midfield Tom Huddlestone on loan.
Dare i say it even hayden mullins can do a Job and dig in.
Dan Gosling
Didier Digard who was @ boro now in France.
Capoue and sissoko 2 players who can play defence and midfield.
And O'hara..

Yep. He was very good indeed.

De Guzman who plays for Swansea has a brother who used to play for Depor in Spain. I think he's 31 but been playing back in N America. Hardly glamorous, but then neither was Darron Gibson for Everton

Mark Davies from Bolton is a good player, though not exactly the sort we need

I think Livermore or Huddlestone, potentially on loan, is the best I can think of.

Stephens from Charlton or Bridcutt from Brighton are supposed to be good, but not exactly premiership pedigree

Aside from that I think we're looking at abroad. I imagine Wanyama is out of our price range

Fernando, your points are excellent but you type like that bimbo with the big tits and short skirts I used to employ.

Cup of Nations started last night.   I think KEA will be on the "highlights" at seven thirty tonight running behind several people.

If we cannot spot a few better players than we have already from the feast of talent which is on offer there we want our balls cherry blossomed.  (The correct Birmingham vulgarity is "balls blacked" but it would look racist and I do not do that thing).

A thing in the papers? There's nothing on the BBC gossip pages. I can't accept or believe we're not going to strengthen this relegation bound squad. Surely Lerner and Lambert can see its just not good enough?

Its almost good enough, its very, very close to being easily mid-table.

We should have beat Swansea and the Albion, at least a point against Southampton and murdered Bradford. Should.

We are two players light. If there isn't much cash (why Lerner, why?) then I can understand Lambert being careful. Getting it wrong could be catastrophic.

OMG! Okay. Sorry I will be more careful in my typing. Also thankyou for the comparison.

We have too many 'light players', too many for our own good. Bennett, Bannan, Holman, Lowton, Westwood do not have the weight on them to deal with the type of players other clubs have.

A couple of this type is Ok but especially with Clark playing centre half it is a big disadvantage.

For fucks sake.
We have a forward line that can get us the goals we need, For McGrath's sake let's get a couple of midfelders in and a centre half.
It would completely transform us.
