Lambert went for Dempsey, an attacking midfielder/forward. He still has that money apparently and the role hasnt really been filled yet so why not bid for this kid?

Normally I'd agree that it is not a typical villa signing however as you say Lambert is a new manger.  This fella in many ways suits lambert's criteria:  Young, slightly damaged goods (arguably failed at Inter) and has faults in his game.  My guess is he'd be hungry to prove Inter wrong which would tick the "hungry" criteria Lambert has mention previously.

Admittedly I'm not holding my breathe expecting anything to happen but it is nice to speculate (better than talking about craig gardner anyway).

Lambert said the other day that it wouldn't make any sense to sell Bent to a rival - so you can scrub Fulham, Newcastle and QPR off the list. I'd be surprised if he leaves at all considering he's going to fire us to Wembley very shortly.

Twitter Mystery Man is a fake. The real one is a nice chap who spends a few bob with them commercially but really knows very little.

For example, when TSM became manager, he was still saying we weren't in for him on that Sunday he jacked it in at Blues.
