interesting last wednesday at an evening with brian little and peter withe, little talked very fondly about savo. he said that he had regrets over him being here also though as he had to try and get on with his move alone and the club were not very helpful in his transition from belgrade to birmingham. there was no assistance getting a house, the translator that had been promised didnt materialise, he said aston villa were just not ready to take on a transfer of this size and look after the player sufficiently.
he also said he was a very good partner for yorkie and helped him become the player he went on to be!

Then along came Collymore and a promising partnership was gone.
It would be interesting to hear Brians view on Collymore, as I'm not the only one who thing he was forced into him by Ellis.
he said that he gets on well with collymore and wishes he was as intelligent then as he aspires to be now. said colly more hit out when should have walked away and vice versa, respected his ability but also said didnt achieve what he should have done.
peter withe said he was introduced to him on his first day at the club and withe told him that putting a shift in and 100% would go a long way in helping his relationship with fans and they would forgive stuff as long as he gave his all. collymore said straight out 'i am not that type of player, i will do it my way' to which withey looked dumbfounded.
