Haven't seen much of them before

lovely finish from Burke for the goal
Barton on the right looked tidy, nice first touch and quick feet
Grealish also, nice first touch and looks like he can beat his man pretty well
Donacien looks a big unit at the back

Does anyone go to the games regularly enough to know if they're regularly on that level?  I've heard that this group of kids is the best yet but not really heard any of them being 'bigged up' as the key member of the team.

Arsenal beat CSKA Moscow 1-0, so if we beat Sporting CP then it'll be an all-English Final *yawning emoticon*.

Article in the Guardian about Next Gen. Seems like Uefa are taking over and fecking it up. It moves from invitational to the participants being the junior teams from "Champions" League qualifiers. Way to entrench the divide, idiots.

On a par with Europe's competition commissioner's idea to make it cheap[er to watch Premier League football on TV. Introduce competition so people now have to pay two broadcasters instead of one. Brilliant.

I thought uefa were going to start up a rival tournament instead?  So we could win this, but miss out on the chance to defend the trophy next year because our first team are so, er, inconsistent?

3-3, Arsenal scored twice in the last five minutes.

Extra-time, which is good news for us if we get through to play the winners.

UEFA is looking at an 19 tournament, this is U-21. It is a separate tournament. If they turn out to be rivals too there will only be one winner, which is a great shame.

Part of the attraction of football at this level is that no one is trying to make money. If UEFA is getting interested who knows what will happen.
