Fonseca not going to Spuds now apparently. Mendes is on the case for them according to Fabrizio Romano.

Gattuso could be next on their list, after his "Clough at Leeds" spell with Fiorentina.

Broken down for financial reasons apparently.  They really havenít got a pot to piss in have they, so Kane must be going

I love that they sacked one and can't sort another for love nor money! Surely they'll have a number of players who will want to be off. Kane and Son obviously... Haha

I 'met' Pardew at the Everyman cinema in the Mailbox when he was WBA manager. We were late for the showing of (the superb) Phantom Thread, and there were no visible members of staff, so I went over to the vaguely familiar bloke sat in the bar in a baseball cap.

I said "excuse me" about to ask whether he was there to see the same film or if he'd seen a member of staff. He said "forget it, I'm not giving autographs". Puzzled, I walked off.

It was only on the train home that I realised who it was.

Imagine going to a Daniel Day-Lewis movie and thinking that *you're* the star. Fucking Pardew.

This Spurs chaos is extraordinary, what astonishing incompetence. As for the new links, I'm a big fan of Gattuso as a player and a man, but as a manager he's been a bit unconvincing. Still really hard to believe that last Napoli display of the season to blow CL qualification and hand 4th to Juve - one of the biggest single underperformances I've ever seen. Very Spursy under pressure, in other words.

I'm loving the managerial flux elsewhere, whilst we sail on along with the King of Great Barr.

We should put a bid in for Son. He really is a cracking player, and he surely won't be happy when Kane leaves. Imagine a front three of Ollie, Jack and Son, with Buendia just behind them. We'd win every game 6-0.

At this rate Spurs will be kicking off the new season with Ryan Mason still in charge.

They would ask Appy Arry, but I suspect he'd want money to spend

The Athletic (which to me seems generally accurate on stuff - at least relative to most) now saying Spuds have decided against appointing Gattuso. Theyíre a club in complete meltdown.

At a glance, they've gone from 'reckon Nagelsmann will pick us over Bayern' to 'reckon Hoddle would take it?'. Lovely.
