It'll take him a while to impose his style at Everton. His counterattacking way of playing depends largely on pace, and they don't have any.

Might be worth a cheeky bet on Adama Traore going there

Fuck knows what is happening at Everton but now it appears Benitez is about to named manager. Give it time it will be down to Pardew or Curbs.

My guess is they’ve no money for players as its all going on their shiny new stadium.

Steve Bruce will once again follow Benitez.

Pardew or Curbs.  Really made me laugh.  Imagine if they got Pardew.

Hasn't Pardew been out of the game for a fair while? Also hasn't Curbishley been out of the game even longer?

Apparently Pardew had a short spell as CSKA Sofia technical director last year and Curbishley had a short spell as caretaker manager of Fulham in 2014/2015.

A cheap managerial option for them would be Duncan Ferguson.

But if they give the manager's job to Duncan Disorderly who will then operate the electronic substitution boards which seems to be Ferguson's main role at the club?

I 'met' Pardew at the Everyman cinema in the Mailbox when he was WBA manager. We were late for the showing of (the superb) Phantom Thread, and there were no visible members of staff, so I went over to the vaguely familiar bloke sat in the bar in a baseball cap.

I said "excuse me" about to ask whether he was there to see the same film or if he'd seen a member of staff. He said "forget it, I'm not giving autographs". Puzzled, I walked off.

It was only on the train home that I realised who it was.

Happier with the thought of Benitez going there rather than Nuno.

Think Benitez is done at top level football, personally.

If Rafa goes to Everton and Fonseca to Spurs, you’d have to fancy us to finish above both of them this coming season. Two poor appointments in my opinion.

Not really on topic but this reminds me of Ray Houghton's story. !994; Ireland back from the World Cup where he had scored the only goal to beat Italy. They were being lauded all through the country. He saw a women point her camera at him so stood and smiled. She asked him to move as she was trying to take a photo of the view.
