Savage and Sutton on 606 reckon Allardyce is on for a ten million quid payout if he keeps Albion up.

The pressure is mounting on 'Fat Frank' at Chelsea.

Piss poor performance from Chelsea tonight. They are lucky to be only two goals down. It is potentially a manager sacking performance, especially as this is Chelsea we are talking about.

Looks like Mick McCarthy is replacing him.

I think we all know what meme is coming up soon...

Now confirmed. I've always liked Mick so wish him all the best there. Hope Dinas (DC) is happy.

Had a drink with Mick and the Millwall squad in the early 90s in Tamangos ('where the gang goes') in Portmanock. Sound man.

Rafa Benitez has left his Chinese club. That'll get the Geordies clamouring even more to get him back in place of Bruce.

Wouldn't have thought he would go back to Chelsea. Their fans couldn't stand him because of the fall out from the Ghost Goal Champions League semi final. I remember being on a train back to New Street after they had beaten us at Villa when was manager there and a group of the were singing about having 'Jaeger bombs when Rafa's dead'.

Benitez was hardly Mr Popular in his last spell at Chelsea.

Paul Lambert's excellent, really excellent Ipswich losing in the East Anglia derby game with Peterborough.
