I thought you were joking but just read about it. That would be crazy.

I suspect there were a few nervy sub-editors making sure of their spelling when preparing that headline.

When Cox was Derby manager, they probably chanted "Arthur out!"

Was having a debate over the weekend with a mate about how ludicrous it is that Everton have got a far superior manager than Manure.

Then we started comparing who OGS is actually better than in the PL.  We were struggling.  We are basing it on the relative spending powers between them and other clubs.  There was virtually no one with the possible exceptions of Bilic and Parker that we could think he was better than.  I certainly would never ever swap him for Smith even if we were on a bad run.

Then we started talking about Pep.  Look at it this way.  He inherited KDB, Silva, Aguero, Kompany, Sterling and has spent £832m.  Yet has still to win the CL and won the same pretty much as Mancini and Pellegrini.  By comparison, Dean inherited Albert Adomah Glenn Whelan, Scott Hogan, Birkir Bjarnasson and Micah Richards.  And now has us above both Manchester clubs.  Who is doing the better job?

Good post.

I have a poor view of OGS as a manager and regard Deano as clearly superior.

Away from this, I have despised OGS ever since his support for THAT penalty in the game last summer. Whatever happened to, "Well, it was a bit lucky, but we'll take it"?

Someone has to explain to me how on earth Bielsa has been named as a top 5 nominee for 2020 FIFA coach of the year.

And Iím not arguing that heís not a great coach or hasnít been across many decades. But in 2020 there is no way at all he should be on that list. All he has done is got a team promoted that is now sitting lower mid table in the PL. No more than that. There are numerous other much more deserving candidates; the Atalanta manager Gasperini immediately comes to mind or Nagelsmann of Leipzig. Heck even Chris Wilder, Nuno or Steven Gerard are better candidates.

Because Leeds are the massivest of massive clubs who have won loads and loads of trophies including the European Cup and take more away for a midweek game at Southampton than attended Gandhi's funeral.

Itís the Tottenham Hotspur myth.  The northern representatives.  Try telling people you are a big club for long enough and people will just believe it in  some kind messiah like fashion.
