Off to enjoy la dolce vita in Rome. Very nice, beats Manchester or North London.

If he wins the scudetto with Roma it'd be his greatest achievement, easily. And you know, Conte went back to Serie A and immediately won the league in the most Conte way imaginable, so maybe he'll be in the right place for him.

Spurs to Roma though, talk about failing upwards.

He's a busted flush who has no interest in managing anywhere that won't give him billions to spend. Martin O'Neill with more money. He will be there for two seasons max, get a massive payoff, and fall into another ridiculously well paid job working for owners with more money than sense.

It is a sign of how our respective stock has reversed that I would never want him anywhere near the Villa job now.

Mourinho won a treble in Italy with Inter but the Italian media despised him.

He's just gone somewhere without billions to spend.

I'm sure Roma will give him money to spend. He hasn't just turned up at Brescia or whoever is the Italian version of West Brom.

Some money, but he won't have as much of a say as at Spurs with their structure (though more than Fonseca got), and it really won't be a lot. Roma's finances are a mess and they almost certainly won't have European football next year.

I donít think there is an Italian club who are obsessed with Villa.

Cargomitch: The PL teams between 12th and 18th position all have well respected and coveted managers (bar Steve Bruce perhaps) Tough league.

Considering the injuries and problems with Covid-19 that Newcastle have had, getting them to safety with three games to spare is also a pretty decent job done from Steve Bruce too.

I don't have a problem with Bruce particularly, but I found it strange that BBC felt the need to editorialise.

A very underrated manager imo.  If he had stayed/been allowed to stay, at one of his better clubs he could have built a side that would see him retire as one of the greats.  I always felt he moved around a bit too much.  Anyway, enjoy your time off Roy.

I distinctly remember when Roy Hodgson was filmed outside his London home when he left the England job. God knows how much his gaff was worth, it was a breathtakingly impressive pile.
