Paul Lambert's excellent, really excellent Ipswich losing in the East Anglia derby game with Peterborough.
Will he ‘go again’

Rafa Benitez has left his Chinese club. That'll get the Geordies clamouring even more to get him back in place of Bruce.

I’d say watch out arteta or Lampard

Benitez was hardly Mr Popular in his last spell at Chelsea.

He won a few over after the uefa cup win.  Fans are fickle generally not just at Villa Park

Lambert's team Ipswich have not won at home since November. I bet he still thinks they have been excellent though

It must be galling for bruce to see that in what is relatively a short period of time Dean Smith has our defence and goalkeeping positions the way he has after bruce almost obliterated the defensive side of our game.
When he left we had 1 centre back (Chester) whose career he seriously jeopardised (he wouldn't play Tuanzebe in the centre). We were heading towards the relegation zone in the championship and I'm still to be convinced it wasn't a deliberate act on his part to leave us so fragile.
I think Dean subbing Jack last night was also a piss-take of newcastle and bruce. They'd just brought on supposedly their best player and Dean responded by removing ours because it was soooo easy!

I remember early last season he got a low possession, backs to the wall win at Spurs and the media were gushing about how he proved the doubters and critics wrong.

This is one of the difficulties for fans, the closed shop, all pissing in the same pot, golf mates cunty circle jerk that excuses, not only poor management but, in the case of Fat Sam and good ol' Harry, naked corruption.

Ir's sickening.

Generally Cabbage doesnt play players in their proper position.

Tuanzebe was not world class for us no matter how we sentimentally look back.   As for Grealish he was knackered thats the reason he was subbed.

I doubt it very much. If Ashley can tempt him I could see him back at Newcastle, or else some Spanish or Italian club.

I'm not sure why Benitez went to Newcastle in the first place. If he goes there again, I'd have to question his sanity.

I'd imagine they paid him a lot of money. Was still something of a coup for them. I'd expect them to be shopping in the Mark Hughes/Tony Pulis market.

Hughes might be a good bet, actually. About as inspired as Bruce. Dull, dour, 'reliable', experienced, and so on.
