Ronald Koeman named new Barcelona head coach, bit of a strange choice, what's he won?

What had Pep or Zidane won? They do seem to like their old boys returning although normally they haven't done much management beforehand.

Barca sound like a basket case. Koeman won’t make it beyond a year though, the President will change and bring in his own man.

Already lined up to be Xavi if anyone wins the election other than the current guy's preferred successor, I read on the BBC.

As a coach the domestic double with Ajax, the Portuguese cup with Benfica, The Copa Del Rey/Spanish Cup with Valencia and runners up spot in the Nations League with Holland. If you also take into account his highly successful playing career it ain't a bad CV is it?

A two year contract worth about two million pounds.

And they won tonight 5-1. I hope they don't make the connection. Get well ASAP Moysey.

As some wag on a Meh Utd forum put it which made me smile "Moyes is how I imagine Covid would look if it took on human form".

Not that he is involved with another club at the moment but Alex McLeish is the subject of a five page Q&A in the latest FourFourTwo magazine. He reckons his time at Villa was one of the toughest times in his career.

Don't worry Alex it was bloody tough for us too.

Neil Warnock takes charge of his 1500th game this weekend. Some achievement, fair play to him!

I remember when he was in charge of Burton Albion in the eighties and their FA Cup game with Leicester had to be replayed due to the keeper being hit by a missile from the crowd and Warnock was working as a chiropodist. Cue pictures in the papers of him working on people's feet.

Chris Hughton takes over at Forest after they sacked Lamouchi. Hope he does well with them, be nice to see them back in the Premier League.

Agreed, he's a very underrated manager. Nothing spectacular but a safe pair of hands.

I bet Forest are already interviewing for his replacement.
