Klinsmann has just threw in the towel as trainer at Hertha after 2 months and 9 games in charge.

Not only did he throw in the towel but he took all his club clothes and boots with him. Basically he took all of his 'Hertha Kitt'.

Rumours are he left singing "I wanna be evil",  "I don't care", "This is my life" and "I'd rather be burned as a witch"

Well I liked it, Damo.

Thankyou, but I resigned myself quite a while back to not being appreciated in my own lifetime. However future generations will revere me and speak in hushed tones about me.

They will. You can bet on that. Wink.

I love Dean and I'm in no hurry to get rid, but I've just watched this interview with Chris Wilder and he's very impressive. I'd imagine (perhaps flattering myself on our behalf?) that we'd be an interesting next step for him.

The guys twenty year managerial career has been exceptionally successful. Four trophies with Alfreton, took Oxford out of the conference and back into League Two, League Two title with Northampton, League One champions and promotion to the Premier League with Sheffield United. Plus the excellent job he is doing this season.

"Chris, where did it all go wrong? How can your credibility have plummeted so rapidly?".

"I agreed to manage the Villa, beyond that I can't explain".

I had no idea he was there. Piatek's main reason for going there now gone?

I expect the recent takeover and enormous amounts of money they are throwing around  had more to do with it.

Klinsmann has always been the Emperor's New Clothes of managers.

I think he started well but then they began slipping down the table.

It was a rollercoaster ride, but the players were donkeys.

He assembled a Noah's Ark of players when what was needed was a Revolution. By the end it was no Fun House for anyone.

Athletico Madrid 1 Liverpool 0. If I could hand pick the next Villa manager I would choose Diego Simeone, he is right up there with the best in the world for me and maybe he would fancy the Premier League at this stage in his career. He is also best mates with Pitarch after their successful time together at Athletico.

My concern would be he has gone from a slick mafia hit man look to having Nans hair
