Actually, that makes me wonder whether we've ever had a game that's been postponed three times before.

Winter of '63 is possible. We drew with Bristol City in the 3rd round of the cup in January and the replay was in March. I've no idea how many times the second game or the many postponed league games were actually re-scheduled.

After seeing us totally dominate them at Bolton earlier in the season (especially the first half when we played possibly our best 45 minutes of the season) I really cannot see us losing this one.

If we lose, then we really do deserve to go down because Bolton are shit.

However, I don't think we will lose. 2-0 (Charlie to strike twice).

I'd say the second half at home to QPR was the best 45 we have had this season. Or the second at home to Arsenal.

But yes, I agree, if we lose this, we deserve relegation.

We need the QPR performance without the stupid mistakes. The back 4 looks more solid now than it did earlier in the season, the trouble is we are toothless. I would be drilling into Weimann to shoot on sight, he got into great positions without troubling the keeper at the weekend. After the second half I would be sorely tempted to start Heskey up there with him too, go quite direct and try and get the run on Knight, although if fit Gabby could eat Wheater for breakfast in the right frame of mind.

Those mentioning the QPR home and Bolton away performance...we're a much less experienced side than those games because of the injuries in the meantime so comparisons aren't really worth making.

The one thing our relegation rivals have is leaders in their team and at this moment we quite simply don't. It's asking a lot of our young lads to win any of the remaining games as they just don't have the experience. Of our senior pros Heskey seems to be a meek bear while Collins, Ireland and Gabby lack the presence to rally the team. Without Stan and Dunne I can only really see Given inspiring confidence on the pitch and he's out of earshot for the rest of the team for most of the game. Ironically, it's one game where we could probably do with Nigel Reo Coker on our side.

No idea where our next goal is coming from but I'll say we'll find a way to sneak a 2-1 win. Lots of panicky moments and an atmosphere like a funeral at Villa Park. Don't care who scores as long as fucking someone does wearing claret and blue.
