            Given

Hutton  Cuellar Collins  Lichaj

N'Zogbia Herd Ireland  Warnock

      Gabby  Weimann

It took my three pieces of scrap paper at work to write that team down.  Shows how poor we are. This is no way a long term starting eleven. But we need goals to keep us up, obviously!
Even toyed with the idea of going 4-3-3 and sticking Delf upfront but ou midfield would have been pissed over (nothing new there though).

That is what I would go with at present with the exception of Baker for Hutton in the back four. If Cuellar was not fit Baker could slot in there. Would also prefer to see Albrighton iof fit in place of Warnock.

4-6-0.

Didn’t Barca play something similar to that earlier in the season.  But the 4 also included Mascerano, so was arguably just a 3.

Craig Levein tried it once too. I understand it worked a treat.

Wasn't that 4-6-0 the formation we played against Burnley in the League Cup last season?

Barce have barely used a striker all season.  Messi has a free role, Sanchez plays right wing, they switch the left wing around and then xavi, iniesta and busquets hold the midfield.

It works because only busquets holds to a position, the other 5 drift arround looking for space and dragging markers out of position.  I guess it helps that 3 of them are in the 4 best players in the world currently.

Give the manager advice to get a win?

This is not mcleish out thread, 3 games to go .

Assuming we get only Ireland and Dunne fit, what formation changes can he do to get a win

Personally I would play Weimann in the middle, Ngzobia wide left and Albrighton wide right and play them in natural positions.

Push Ireland up behind Weimann and two defensive midfielders Clark and Herd ,

Drop Hutton and play Lichaj, Dunne and Cuellar at back and Baker and left back.

That way team may have balance.

Drop fucking about playing Bannan/Heskey wide right , and take Gabby out of firing line he is shot

Would agree with most of that, but if we are going to play one up front it needs to be Heskey.  I'd put Weimann wide on the left and N'Zogbia on the right, with Ireland in the hole.  Agree with your other selections, though I would think about putting Warnock at LB simply on the grounds of experience.
