His name suggests he very much does.

Just to put it into perspective quite how shit Torres now is, Weimann has scored more first team goals since Nov 1st 2011 than Torres has.

It's a tough one. Bent given the service will get you 15-20 goals a season. Torres has been hopless at Chelsea but he's still a cracking player.

Great question by the way.

How long does a player have to be crap before it's accepted they are done? Torres is coming up to 2 years of medicority and yet is still called world class etc by the media and fans.

Those who think Chelsea is the graveyard of strikers have never been to Aston Villa.

Actually...

But Warnock wouldn't know what to do in a choice between 442 and 433.

I don't see the point of this question.

Is it just some random player from another team against a random player from our team?

Why not Dunne for Samba, or Agbonlahor for Torres, or Bent for Berbatov, or Howard for Given or whoever for whoever?

Can we still swap Steve Sidwell for Messi?  Would you buy Steve Sidwell back so we could swap him for Messi?

It isn't a silly question, it's a bit of fun.

Remember, when we bought Bent the media thought we paid silly money for him. The media then said Liverpool have bought a good player in Carroll, didn't bat an eye lid on his fee, Torres went to Chelsea on silly money yet we're the ones who seem to of had a good return on our investment in Bent.

That's not how I remember it.

I think pretty everyone realised how mental the fee was from day one - media included.
