WEIMANN!!

I wasn't happy with the N'Zogbia substitution but maybe McLeish saw the chemistry between Marc, Barry and Andy and felt he needed to make a move. I'm over the moon right now, went absolutely crazy.

It was a strong performance today. A relentless attack that fully deserved three points. Our defensive prowess throughout the game was very impressive.. tracking back, winning 50/50s, big tackles, stepping in on ball shielders.. incredible performance by me, especially for Ireland. Gabby was a little lackluster today, but Weimann seems up to the task.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!

Well thank fuck for that. That goal at the end changes everything about that game, because if we hadn't scored it would have been a decent performance for fuck all again. However with the goal we can look at the positives from it, great anticipation from Weimann and I'd have him in the team for Albrighton next week. Also N'Zog and Ireland make us a better side and when we pass it around we are a much better side. Gabby needs to learn how to run off defenders. Good solid effort at the back and Hutton much improved.

Soild performance, good first half, worryingly sat back at the start of the second. It was clear as day that we needed a forward with a bit of movement and guile in the box, and sure enough following in a shot Weimann did it. Good lad, and good anticipation. Really relieved we won it, and hopefully the little guy will start next week now to give us something a bit different up front. I really could not care less what people think, we could play all week and Gabby does not look like scoring in that lone role, if we are going to score we have to do something different.

Well played to the back 4 for the clean sheet, and Hutton thankfully continues to improve. Maybe he will be a decent right back in the long term.

Hopefully Petrov won't be out next week, but Eck got lucky with him picking up a knock late on!

Oh and Gardner should have been on a lot earlier for Petrov, he showed with that one shot what we'd been missing. The difference between him and Petrov in that regard is that Gardner shooting from range was a good percentage decision, but Petrov kept on having a go from 30-35 yards and very rarely is that going to come off.

Excellent end to the game, just a shame that half the fans had left the stadium by the time Weimann had scored. We're safe now, you can put the kleenex away.

Even if we hadn't won, that was as vibrant a midfield display as I can remember for a long time. Pass and move! Who'd have thought it possible? Defence looked OK, all the back four played well.

Final third was rather disappointing with Gabby looking a bit lost, and perhaps Gardner should have come on earlier, but a goal made in the reserves won it.

How fitting on the day Villa Park remembers Eammon Deacy, the lads put in a 110% effort performance, fighting until the last ball is kicked.

I know you're looking down on us. Thanks, Eammon.

Oh and according to the BBC it was Craig Gardner's shot that was saved, clowns.

Its a desperate 3 points that we put in a lot of effort for IMO, with a bit of luck the team may feed of that, thought we looked more threatening up front then we have for a long time, seemed to be more movement, more endeavor with little end result, but that should come with a different shape up front.

On the negative, Fulham are just idiots, they sat back and sat back and pissed about all the day long and got what they deserved.

fair to say we are safe now i would imagine.

1 win I think. Next week would see us safe if we beat Bolton.
