Ouch! Reading the comments on the rtbf.be sports pages, they seem to think if Dembele (Spurs-bound) is worth 12M Euro and Bentenke is worth 15M Euro then there's a problem. One person seems to think we should only let them have 7M max.

Someone in my family is very close friends with a football agent and I occasionally hear whispers. Not saying its concrete but he has 'referred' to a medical today.
The football agent he knows also used to play for the Villa (think I can get away with saying that as its quite vague)

As this site's self-appointed resident Bristol Rovers expert, I've been praising Rickie Lambert for several years (most recently, two pages ago).

Even though he's now 30, I'd still take him as a back up striker. He's also pretty good with the dead ball.

However, I'd still prefer Villa to be going after Jordan Rhodes.

Lamberts goals to games ratio is excellent. Big lump of a man as well. The only question is, why hasn't be been snaffled up by someone else before now?

I'm guessing for the same reason why Jordon Rhodes hasn't gone, and no one wanted Beckford unless he was on a free. People are worried that strikers won't make it at the top division.

We should take a punt on this one IMO.  Offer threm cash plus the Fonz, who isn't good enough for us I'm afraid to say.

I saw that and I really think that we need players who are ready now to come in and boost the team. I'm not against signing younger players from lower leagues, but at the moment we need players who can come in and make an immeadiate impact.

He's not very bright and big and gangly. Not up to good championship level. A few of the things I've trawled!
